Adult Information Class

Adults who wish to join Emanuel Lutheran Church can request personal one-on-one instruction from the pastor. The course of study is a six-part/chapter book written by Pastor Roloff that asks and then answers the fundamental doctrinal questions people may have pertaining to the Christian faith and the confessions of the Lutheran Church in particular. The amount of time required for instruction will vary depending on both the biblical knowledge of those seeking instruction and their previous experiences with the confessions/beliefs of the Lutheran Church.

LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League)
Contact: Dee Neff
"The mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League is to assist each woman of The Lutheran Church -- Missouri Synod in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts, in ministry to the people of the world."
At Emanuel, the LWML is an opportunity for fellowship, fun and spiritual nurturing for the women and teen girls of the congregation. LWML meets in January, April, July, and October in the church Fellowship Hall. We support a Seminary student, offer Bible study, hold a Women's Retreat in May each year, and collect our "Mites" which are sent to the Indiana District LWML and used as Mission Grants worldwide.
A part of the LWML are the Circles -- Hannah Circle is a group of dedicated women who regularly visit our shut-in members and offer spiritual encouragement. Dorcas Circle is a group of women who meet weekly to make quilts for Lutheran World Relief, Orphan Grain Train and other worthwhile charities.
We invite all women and teen girls of Emanuel to experience LWML, where sisters in Christ use their God-given gifts to help others, in Emanuel and around the world.
